Want to take action on human rights, but don’t really know where to start? Feeling overwhelmed by the constant news of human rights crises all around the world?

Amnesty International has been challenging injustice since the 1960s, and a big part of why we can have the impact that we do is because of the work of our amazing activists and volunteers all around the country!

Whether it’s organising events in their community, gathering petition signatures at their weekend market, meeting with their local MPs, or rocking up to a protest ready to lead the chants and wave their posters proudly, we’re unstoppable together thanks to them.

We’ve got a lot planned for the next few months. One of our key focuses will be pushing state and territory governments to Raise the Age of criminal responsibility in Australia from 10 to 14, because kids as young as 10 years old shouldn’t be behind bars. If you’re curious to find out more and interested in taking action, then join us for our next free ‘Get Active: An Introduction to Amnesty’ webinar!

It’ll be a relaxed session where you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about what we do at Amnesty International, and most importantly how you can get involved and support our work!

Whether you’re brand new to the world of activism and volunteering and are still figuring out how you want to make a difference, or you’re a veteran activist with a basement full of posters from protests of the past, this session will give you a bunch of different options for you to make an impact on human rights!
