Amnesty International has been challenging injustice since the 1960s, and a big part of why we can have the impact that we do is because of the work of our amazing activists and volunteers all around the country! Whether it’s organising events in their community, gathering petition signatures at their weekend market, meeting with their local MPs, or rocking up to a protest ready to lead the chants and wave their posters proudly, we’re unstoppable together thanks to them. We’ve got a lot planned for the next few months. One of our key focuses will be pushing state and territory governments to Raise the Age of criminal responsibility in Australia from 10 to 14, because kids as young as 10 years old shouldn’t be behind bars.
