Join Stories About Hope for an intimate discussion and workshop that explores ideas of home and belonging in exile and displacement.

“Where are you from?” is one of the most commonly asked questions in Australia. It is also commonly presented as a well-meaning question. Home is always perceived as a safe place, yet for people from refugee backgrounds, the reality of it can be different.

The “Home” workshop will explore ideas of home and belonging in exile and displacement. It seeks to pose and answer questions like ‘What is home? Where is home? Can we ever find one again?’

Tickets for these workshops are strictly limited with places capped at 20 to ensure an intimate, in-depth atmosphere for discussion. Get in quick before tickets run out!

*This event is not organised by Amnesty International but we proudly support this initiative. It is part of the Stories About Hope: an art exhibition that celebrates the human dignity, identity, and strength in people from refugee backgrounds produced by Renee Dixson*
