Amnesty International is calling on the US authorities to drop all espionage and other related charges against Julian Assange which underpin the extradition request from the UK, to allow for his prompt release.

This event is an essential reminder for governments worldwide to stand up for press freedom. It’s also an opportunity for media professionals to ponder ethical issues and freedom of the press. The rally’s primary focus is on protecting press freedom, our right to know and to free Australian award winning journalist Julian Assange.
Bring your signs, whistles, drums, flags, costumes whatever you can manage. Lets make some noise!”
