Come join the Amnesty International Avalon group for the free concert ‘Loosely Woven’, consisting of 17 instrumentalists and singers.
Some songs which address social injustice and other important issues such as climate change:
• Big Bill – a song by Terry Piper about the way mining companies have exploited Australia’s indigenous people
• Confounds the Science – a very clever but poignant parody lamenting the lack of serious action by governments to combat climate change.
Refreshments will be served at interval. The concert is free, but donations to Amnesty are welcome.
