As human rights activists, we feel compelled to take action and make our voices heard on this important issue. By joining us for this media action, you can help draw attention to Chow Hang-Tung’s case and send a powerful message to those in power that human rights must be respected and protected.

10:00 am – OPTIONAL: Participants gather at the action centre (33-35 Ainslie Place, Canberra City ACT 2600) to make placards and prepare materials for the action.
11:50 pm – Participants arrive at the Chinese embassy and get ready for the media action
12:00 pm – MEDIA ACTION: Participants stand outside the Chinese embassy wearing Chow masks and holding up placards and signs.
12:10 pm – Speakers from Australia Hong Kong Link and Amnesty International Australia speak about Chow’s case and the human rights situation in Hong Kong.
12:30 pm – Event ends.
- Participants are provided with a Chow mask.
- Participants are encouraged to wear black or yellow t-shirts
- Participants are encouraged to bring their own placards and signs.
