A critical part of grassroots campaigning is communicating with decision-makers who can make change. Often, these people are our elected representatives and have the power to develop and reform policy through parliament.

This beginners workshop will cover advice on:

  • the importance of action groups and activists engaging our local MPs
  • how we can engage our local MPs from social media to a meeting
  • how and why Amnesty engages MPs (especially how you and your group can help!)
  • learning about your local MP

Suggested audience: WA Activists who are interested in advocacy and taking their activism to a new level.

Feel free to check out Amnesty’s Guide to Effective Advocacy to learn more about engaging with your MP.

Please RSVP if you are in Perth and are interested in participating in this workshop.
