Amnesty International’s Townsville action group invite you to their annual song writing competition at the Palm Creek Folk Festival.

Amnesty Townsville has now been hosting the song writing competition for 10 years.

Every year, local talents from all over Far North Queensland enter the competition and demonstrate the importance of human rights in their comminuty.

Entries will be performed over the weekend of the festival, and the winner will get to perform their winning song on the main stage as part of the final concert, and will win a share of prize money.

The Palm Creek Folk Festival is an annual event, held in June, in the lush tropical grounds of the Mountain View Lake Eco Park. Amnesty Townsville will also have a stall at the festival, make sure to pop down and support their work protecting human rights in Australia and around the world!
