Community pressure is growing to dismantle offshore detention on Manus and Nauru for people seeking asylum. What’s more, the health crisis for these people is still acute. We need to keep speaking out to close the centres and bring everyone here, to provide fair processing and a secure future.

The Amnesty NSW Refugee Network will be at the annual Palm Sunday rally for refugees on 14 April. Look out for the yellow banner and flags and join us to support this year’s theme: “Say yes to refugees”. We’ll be turning up, rain, hail or shine!

It will start with speakers, including Dr Munjed Al Muderis (Iraqi refugee and renowned surgeon), and then we’ll be marching (route TBD).

For more information, have a look at the Facebook event page for the rally.
