| Every year we gather on Palm Sunday to honour peace, justice and unity with a rally and speakers followed by a march. This year the theme is refugees, to #BringThemHere.
Conditions in the detention centres on Nauru and Manus Island keep deteriorating and the US continues to block those seeking asylum there. We need to get out there and show our support for people who are escaping desperate situations and are simply looking for a safe refuge. Amnesty International will be there of course! We’d love to have your company so look out our yellow banners, flags etc A whole host of other organisations will be participating, from the Refugee Council of Australia to Mums4Refugees to trade unions … the list goes on.
