Zaki Haidari, Amnesty’s Campaigner – Refugee Rights will be Amnesty Mudgee Group’s guest speaker at our Refugee Week event on June 24.
As someone with lived experience and years of campaigning work since coming to Australia, Zaki will outline the situation for those detained offshore, and explain what role the community can play in working for their release. He will also update us on the impact of the recent federal budget.
There will be plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion over a light supper of soup and muffins.
Cost for adults is $10 / children under 12 free.
