The Sydney Eastern Suburbs group is celebrating this milestone with a cake and – in the best Amnesty tradition, writing a petition – a big one: asking for a national Human Rights Act for Australia. A national Act would ensure the rights of all are upheld and all of the human rights wins we have achieved over the last 60 years are enshrined.
