Is your New Year resolution to get more involved in your local community?

We’re kick starting 2017 with a massive volunteer recruitment drive across NSW. To be an unstoppable movement we need your passion and commitment. We need you to be part of a local movement demanding change. Here is an opportunity to come along to see a powerful documentary on human rights and understand how you can Get Active!

What if confronting the climate crisis is the best chance we’ll ever get to build a better world?

Directed by Avi Lewis, and inspired by Naomi Klein’s international non-fiction bestseller “This Changes Everything”, the film presents seven powerful portraits of communities on the front lines, from Montana’s Powder River Basin to the Alberta Tar Sands, from the coast of South India to Beijing and beyond.

The idea that Environmental and Human Rights are two distinct campaigns will be turned upside down after seeing this film; they are in fact one. It is about justice for all, our Indigenous communities seem to be on the front lines of these campaigns as we have recently seen with the Dakota Access Pipeline and the #NO DAPL campaign to stop the black snake in the U.S. In Australia with the Adani Coal Mine in Queensland the traditional owners Wangan and Janalingou have begun their No Means No campaign to defend their traditional homelands.

Unlike a traditional movie showing, our demand film screening requires that 69 more tickets be reserved in the next 34 days in order for the screening to occur!

We are going to need your help to make this event happen! We would love to see you in the audience, and really appreciate you spreading the word. Tell your friends and have them join us for this special one-time screening of This Changes Everything!
