Write for Rights is when Amnesty International’s movement of ten million comes together as one to take action and stand up for freedom, justice and equality.
Every year, Amnesty supporters and activists from 170 countries take action – writing letters, signing petitions, and much more – telling governments to challenge injustice and right wrongs.
Those actions pressure authorities around the world to bring those responsible for human rights abuses to justice, and free people unjustly imprisoned.
Together, our voices are powerful enough to challenge injustice and change the world.
Last year, Amnesty supporters across Australia took more than 185,000 actions.
