Want to try your hand at something new in 2017? Interested in becoming a regional leader? Then you’re invited you to consider nominating to become part of your local Branch Committee.
Each of Amnesty International Australia’s seven regions are led by a Branch Committee. Comprised of up to 12 elected AIA members, Branch Committees help motivate, coordinate and develop local human rights activism in the region and also provide regional governance.
To learn more about Branch Committees, their roles and responsibilities we invite you to attend one of these webinar sessions:
- 1pm AEDT Saturday 18 March co-hosted by Paul Toner, the Queensland and Northern New South Wales Branch President; or
- 7.30pm AEST Wednesday 19 April co-hosted by Nishara Fallan, the Australian Capital Territory and Southern New South Wales Branch President
Suggested audience
Lead activists and volunteers (or activists/volunteers who want to step up into a leadership role in 2017) who are able to commit six to eight hours per month to this role.
