Join photographer Muzafar Ali, a former Afghan-Hazara refugee, and Director Jolyon Hoff as they discuss the documentary Watandar: My Countryman, the story of Muzafar when he discovers that Afghans have been an integral part of Australia for over 160 years.
The Afghan cameleer descendants featured are Indigenous, colonial and immigrants at the same time. Social Enterprise Sonder Studio Gallery in collaboration with Sunshine Coast Refugee Action Network are hosting this question and answer session, where the audience will be invited to ask questions. There is also an exhibition of Muzafar’s Photography work on show at the gallery.
