In the lead up to International Women’s Day 2021, the Amnesty International Australia ACT/SNSW Activism Leadership Committee will be putting together a speakers panel discussing the issue of domestic violence experienced by women during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
We will be joined by a panel of all female-identifying guest speakers (e.g. Toora Inc.) who work closely in women support services and women refuges within the Australian Capital Territory.
Bringing together the expertise and knowledge of five incredible women in a vital sector of our society, we hope to bring greater awareness to the domestic violence pandemic in Australia and to identify practical ways the community can support vulnerable women and the organisations who work on the front lines.
This event will be catered and ticketed.
