Meaningful Movies will be screening the documentary ‘The Baulkham Hills African Ladies Troupe’. The movie is a celebration of the remarkable spirits of four African women survivors of sexual abuse, and the triumph of their improbable theatre troupe. Afterwards Yourdanos Haile-Michael and Ros Horin, the director and writer of the film have agreed to appear for a speech and Q&A session which will be a powerful experience for the audience after watching the heartrending and uplifting film.

Afterwards we have a night of empowered female artists lined up. We have Ella Haber, a jazzy artist to open the show with her warm, reflective voice. Then the harmonic alt rock sisters of Clews will play a set to lift the beat, before StayFly collective will perform a collaborative set for the remainder of the night with their resident artists.

We look forward to seeing you all there!!
