This joint workshop is the first in a 3-part series, co-hosted by Amnesty International QLD/NNSW Branch, the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) and Oxfam.

Our organisations are working towards the same goals – to see the end of offshore processing, for people seeking asylum be safely re-settled and to have an opportunity to live safe and fulfilling lives.

Join us to learn about each organisations’ goals over 2017 and how you can contribute.

This session will also include an introduction to ASRC’s Words that work workshop and we talk about how to have effective conversations. To change the status quo for the better we need to reach out to the persuadable members in our communities and show them that taking a humane approach to people seeking asylum is a positive way forward for all of us.

Suggested audience:

People interested in learning more about the refugee campaign work of Amnesty, ASRC and Oxfam, including how to contribute to our goals over 2017.
