Code of Conduct & Value and Behaviours Charter

At Amnesty International Australia, we believe in equality and justice for all people. To ensure that our Movement is a safe space where everyone feels accepted and welcomed, it is essential that all activists abide by our Code of Conduct and our Values and Behaviours charter.

Both of these policies have been developed together with activist leaders to outline in no uncertain terms, the values we uphold and the behaviours we demonstrate. These policies enable us to determine where it is appropriate to partner with other groups and organisation, or which projects to undertake that align with our values.

Having a Code of Conduct and a Values and Behaviours charter also acts as an accountability mechanism- behaviours that do not align with our values are not tolerated in our Movement.
